ROME (ITALPRESS) – The National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for executives of companies producing goods and services was renewed today, effective Jan. 1, 2025 – Dec. 31, 2027. The contract renewal includes action on many issues, including broadening the definition of an executive, improving pay aspects, and strengthening the bilateral welfare system with a focus on gender equality.”We are signing the contract for executives today in the conviction that companies must grow in size and culture by making use of the fundamental contribution of management,” says Maurizio Marchesini, Confindustria Vice President for Labor and Industrial Relations. “This contract takes a decisive step forward in accompanying companies towards transitions: we have updated the figure of the executive and consolidated the welfare system. The contract strengthens the company’s competitiveness through important issues such as gender equality and by normalizing the idea that executive pay should be commensurate with results.” “From today the managerial category can rely on a new, modern contract, adapted to the evolution of the managerial figure, so as to include the most highly qualified professionals. A stronger contract, with greater protections, with increasing economic recognition that ultimately tightens the pact between managers and businesses as an essential element for the country’s growth,” says Federmanager President Stefano Cuzzilla. The definition of manager has been broadened in order to incorporate what is already happening in companies and also to include professional figures of higher qualification and technical-professional experience who carry out the objectives of the company in full autonomy. In terms of remuneration aspects, the values of the minimum total guaranteed treatment (TMCG) have been raised to 80 thousand euros for the year 2025 and to 85 thousand euros from 2026. To cover the year 2024, a “one-time” amount of 6 percent of gross annual salary was provided for executives who have not received salary increases or other compensation since January 2019 (within the income limit of 100 thousand euros). In addition, the adoption of variable remuneration systems linked to indexes or results, the so-called MBO, has been made mandatory for all, with a view to increasingly orienting the performance of executives toward the achievement of specific company objectives. The bilateral welfare system has been enhanced: in the area of supplementary pensions, the contract has intervened on the distribution of contribution shares to the Previndai fund with an increase in the minimum share borne by the company and a consequent easing of that borne by the executive. The decisive role of FASI and supplementary healthcare has been reconfirmed. Finally, the functions of Fondirigenti have been defined, to which active labor policies are also assigned, while 4.Manager is entrusted with the promotion of corporate culture. On the subject of gender equality, the contract has given special attention to the issue of equal opportunities and pay equity; a special article is dedicated to the protection and support of maternity, paternity and shared parenting, aware of the strategic value for companies of operating according to inclusive organizational models.
