MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Teams from the Milan Fire Brigade Command are on their way to the Perfetti Plant in Lainate at 30 Clerici Street following an explosion that reportedly took place in a warehouse inside the chewing gum company. A thick column of black smoke is already visible several kilometers away.
The fire, which affected a Company warehouse, is under the control of firefighting teams. Inside were stored-according to initial information-processing scraps. No people were reportedly involved or injured. As a precautionary measure, three civilian buildings adjacent to the Company were evacuated. Eight vehicles of the Milan Fire Department Command sent to the scene and another vehicle from the nearby Saronno Detachment.
