China: in Heilongjiang will open the largest park in the world on ice and snow

HARBIN (CINA) (XINHUA/ITALPRESS) – The largest park in the world on ice and snow, i.e. the 27th edition of the Harbin Ice-Snow World, will open to the public on December 17th in Harbin, the “ice city” of China, capital of the north-eastern province of Heilongjiang.

The park extends over a record area of 1,2 million square meters and uses 400,000 cubic meters of ice and snow, and this year’s theme is “Ghiaccio and snow, a fairytale world”.

The structure will present three main landscape axis, a large themed parade, an outdoor stage and a newly built inflatable structure of 5,000 square meters. The site integrates technological elements such as intelligent lighting and interaction with artificial intelligence.

Inside the park are a series of events, including the opening ceremony of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, international competitions of ice sculptures, snow and ice hockey matches, as well as a New Year concert.

Tickets are available in pre-sale through the official WeChat account of the Harbin Ice-Snow World and other online channels, including Meituan and Alipay. A promotional price of 298 yuan (about 42 dollars) for adult tickets will be applied from 17 to 23 December, before returning to the standard price of 328 yuan.

In addition to the Ice-Snow World, Harbin is promoting two other important winter destinations: Sun Island Snow Expo, which extends over 1.5 million square meters, and an ice and snow Carnival along the icy river Songhua, which present respectively about 260 snow sculptures and 60 snow-related entertainment projects.
