ROME (ITALPRESS) – We have now entered the heart of the Christmas season. A period with a special atmosphere in which homes, streets and cities are filled with lights, decorations and ornaments, but also a time to spend time with loved ones and dedicate a little thought to them. Between lunches, dinners, gifts and much more, overall, half of Italians say they are keeping their spending levels substantially unchanged from previous years, with a budget that, in 27 percent of cases, varies between 100 and 300 euros and about 1 in 5 Italians, on the other hand, go as high as 500 euros. The most popular gifts intended for friends and relatives concern in particular foodstuffs such as baskets, wines and other food and wine specialties and clothing products. Then there is no shortage of toys intended for the youngest children or a good book for the older ones. Although we live in a world that goes faster and faster, where technology allows people to receive their purchases directly to their homes even within a few hours, in the specifics of Christmas shopping, physical stores still prevail over online stores. A way to touch and fully experience Christmas and enjoy the lights, colors and scents of the city.
