ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Since the beginning of its activity, this government has made it a priority to strengthen the cyber protection of institutions.” This was said by Minister for Relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani at the House question time, responding to a question on urgent initiatives to strengthen the security of public databases containing sensitive data, in relation to recent cyber attacks. “In relation to the intertwining of cybersecurity and economic-financial security, a configuration of the cybersecurity nucleus has been provided for, in which the national anti-mafia prosecutor and the governor of the Bank of Italy participate: yesterday this nucleus met precisely on the issue of ransomware prevention and countermeasure tools, with Prefect Bruno Frattasi presiding, on the overall consistency of the resources allocated to cyber security so far.”
