VENICE (ITALPRESS) – “The support of the Venets in the world also passes through initiatives such as this award, which enhances research on the history of the Venetian emigration and involves young scholars in the reconstruction of a fundamental chapter of our identity. A phenomenon that has marked in depth the history of Veneto and that continues to keep together, beyond every border, the Veneto communities in the world: with this recognition the Region intends to make known this link and support the commitment of those who study it with new perspectives”. With these words, the regional Councillor for the Venetian Identity, Marco Zecchinato, announces the approval by the Regional Council of the fourth edition of the “Premio essays e studi inediti” on the history of the Venetian emigration.
The call is aimed at young people, of any nationality, between 18 and 35 years old, called to present a short, unpublished and original scientific paper on the history of emigration from Veneto, from the 19th century to today. The prize, valued at EUR 3,000, provides for the submission of applications by 30 September 2026. To evaluate the work will be a technical Jury consisting also of Italian and foreign university professors. The winning essay will be proposed for the publication on “Quaderni veneti” and, subsequently, on “MiVeneto.it”.
