Conou, Ecomondo the model for the collection and regeneration of used oils

RIMINI (ITALPRESS) – Conou brings to Ecomondo, in Rimini, the Italian model of excellence in the collection and regeneration of the used oils. Participates with a space entirely dedicated to innovation and the sharing of good practices in the management of mineral oils used. The Consortium’s stand offers the opportunity to get to know an international point of reference in the field of circular economy. The model has been illustrated through data, experiences and results that demonstrate its environmental and economic effectiveness: a system capable of transforming a dangerous waste into a precious resource, contributing in a concrete way to the protection of the environment. More and more countries look at Italian experience as a virtuous example for sustainable waste management. “As every year, CONOU – says to Italpress President Riccardo Piunti – is present at Ecomondo, bringing to the center of attention the value of its organizational model. The aim of this edition is to give more emphasis to a system that does not propose a product, but a successful model: that of the unique and autonomous consortium, placed at the center of the chain to guarantee efficiency, transparency and sustainability”. This approach, explains Piunti, represents “the key to Italy’s success in Europe in the field of recovery and regeneration of used mineral oils. In Italy the totality of the used oils is collected, and 98% of them is regenerated, returning to new life as a lube base. In other European countries, however, the collection is less complete and only about 60% of the oils are regenerated, while the rest is intended for combustion. This difference, significant and structural, is the direct result of the Italian consortium model, capable of combining environmental and economic efficiency. CONOU intends to tell, share and demonstrate that this organizational model is truly winning: a concrete proof that the circular economy is not an abstract idea, but a possible reality.” -photo Italpress-(ITALPRESS).
