PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – They can rightly be considered the authentic pioneers in Sicily of “certified” web surfing under the banner of responsibility and awareness. They are the nineteen students of the second class of the Liceo TRED – Ecological and Digital Transition “Luigi Einaudi” high school in Syracuse who in recent months have successfully attended the first pilot project for the issuance of the digital license developed by Corecom Sicilia, the Regional Communications Committee and territorial functional body of AGCOM, the Authority for Guarantees in Communications, as well as an advisory body of the Junta and Ars in communication matters.
Now for these students, at the conclusion of a training course consisting of seven meetings-which involved, among others, IT experts, lawyers, digital educators, journalists, and investigators-it is the long-awaited moment of the handing over of the digital licenses. The appointment is for Tuesday, March 18, at 11 a.m. in the Sala di rappresentanza of the Sicilian Regional Offices in Palermo at Via Generale Magliocco, 46, also the headquarters of CORECOM Sicilia.
At the meeting in addition to the students, with reference teachers, of the Syracuse High School led by Headmistress Teresella Celesti, will be present the President of Corecom Sicily Andrea Peria Giaconia along with the four commissioners who make up the body, the President of Corecom Calabria Fulvio Scarpino, delegate of the national coordinator of the Presidents of Italian Corecoms Carola Barbato, authoritative representatives of the Sicilian Regional Government, the Sicilian Regional Assembly, AGCOM – Authority for Communications Guarantees and the Regional School Office of Sicily.
