ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The meeting was held at Palazzo Chigi between the undersecretary of the Chairmanship of the Council Alfredo Mantovano, the Advocate General of the State Gabriella Palmieri Sandulli, the representatives of the Foreign Ministry, Justice and Civil Protection and the families of the victims and wounded of the tragedy of Crans-Montana. The meeting, wanted by the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni and in coherence with the address expressed by Parliament, has served to share the steps made in recent weeks on the front of the investigative and judicial collaboration, both in the Swiss and in the Italian territory, and to evaluate the other possible initiatives to undertake: the first of them will be the request, by the Government, of constitution of civil part. The opportunity to bring the Italian ambassador back to Switzerland to check closely the effectiveness of the collaboration initiated. The closeness to families affected by the New Year’s tragedy continues to be a priority for the government.

Following the meeting held at Palazzo Chigi between the government and the families of the victims and the wounded of Crans-Montana, foreign minister Antonio Tajani arranged with the agreement of the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni the return to Switzerland of Ambassador Gian Lorenzo Cornado.
