Cutrone drags Como, Verona defeated 3-2

COMO (ITALPRESS) – Victory of play and spirit by Como, which beat Verona 3-2 and moved away from the lower reaches of the standings. Cutrone’s one-two and Belotti’s goal in the final minutes were decisive, with Paolo Zanetti’s team that in ten men still managed to trouble their opponents first with Lazovic’s penalty and then with Lambourde’s goal in the recovery.Como had the first chance, with Alberto Moreno’s powerful left-footer and Montipò’s reactive parry. Verona goalkeeper who will be protagonist of another decisive intervention, at 20′, with Cutrone’s cross from the right and Nico Paz’s header on which Montipò himself actually saves on the goal line. But Como continued to play the game and a little later still went close to 1-0, with Nico Paz’s header service for Sergi Roberto who all alone in the area kicked wide. Third sharp chance for the Lombardi, with Verona managing to turn the tables by finding the net with Tengstedt, all however in an irregular position. Extemporaneous flash by the Scaligeri and Como forward again, with the duel between Nico Paz and Montipò renewed at 41′, on the Argentine’s header and the extreme defender’s response with his feet. Yet another Como signal that materialized in goal three minutes later, with Cutrone’s conclusion deflected by Tchatchoua ending in the net. At the start of the second half comes the episode favorable to Verona, with Sergi Roberto’s stomping in the area against Lazovic that, after the Var check, is worth the penalty for Zanetti’s eleven, later converted by the same Serbian. Equal and reaction by Como, which would also find itself in numerical superiority in the final twenty-five minutes due to Suslov’s double caution. And it was precisely at 72′ that the white and blue put the arrow back in, thanks to Nico Paz’s feed for the usual Cutrone, cold to bag the 2-1 ball. Verona cornered and Como also scored the third goal, with the trio of newcomers Da Cunha, Mazzitelli and Belotti materializing, with the latter’s tap-in, the 3-1 goal. Race in the final throes and ending with Verona’s goal signed by Lambourde but vain for the purposes of the result that is defined in the final 3-2.- Photo: Image – (ITALPRESS).
