ROME (ITALPRESS) – Dacia Jogger, a versatile model with up to 7 seats, has surpassed 100,000 units sold since its launch in Europe, with the Hybrid 140 version accounting for a quarter of global sales. Jogger combines the typical length of family cars with the roominess of multi-spaces and the features of SUVs.
In addition to the interior modularity, which is essential for different mobility needs, which can range from daily use, to long journeys with the family, the available engines also allow different needs to be met, depending on the type of customer who decides to purchase this model. Robust and with driving dynamics that offer great stability and safety, it offers an excellent level of comfort to all passengers in addition to equipment and driving aid systems dedicated to safety and well-being on board.
The entire range, right from the Essential level, is equipped with new safety devices to meet the requirements of the GSR2 regulation. Specifically, these are the equipment introduced since the entry into force of this regulation: Event Data Recorder (EDR – in the event of an accident); Traffic Sign Recognition with Lane Departure Warning; Lane Keeping Assistant Driver Attention Monitoring System; Rear Parking Sensors; Light and Rain Sensors; Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Recognition; Emergency Stop Signal.
The “My Safety” button, located on the dashboard, allows the customer’s set Adas preferences to be recalled when the car is started, with a simple press. In addition to these devices, the entire Dacia range is equipped with Rescue Code, which is the QR Code in the form of a sticker placed on the windshield and rear window that allows the customer to consult the rescue card, produced by Dacia through a free App.
Firefighters can thus obtain all the information they need for safe and effective intervention, gaining valuable minutes. On the subject of driving safety, the driver attention warning system, which prevents, by means of a visual and audible signal, any distractions due to fatigue on the part of those behind the wheel, for example, on a long journey, has become a fundamental and extremely effective piece of equipment.
As for the engines, we start with the Tce 110 hp, present on all trim levels, with a cubic capacity of 999 cm3 that provides the maximum power of 110 hp at 5,000 rpm. This engine delivers a torque of 200 Nm, the highest among the engines available for Jogger, and thus provides the right amount of dynamism, especially in daily use or on city streets. Dacia’s business approach is to put customers at the center of the strategy and offer what they need for their mobility needs. The market today demands powertrains that also optimize operating costs.
For this Jogger is also equipped with a 100 hp gasoline/LPG engine, which is also available on all trim levels and is also suitable for long journeys, considering the long distances that the two 50-liter gasoline and LPG tanks guarantee. Considering the average WLTP consumption in the mixed cycle of 7.6/7.8 l/100 km, the 1000 km total barrier can be crossed on a full tank. The third available engine is also the most recently introduced and it is the Hybrid 140, which combines the 1,598 cc gasoline engine and an electric motor with a 1.2 KWh battery.
This motorization, available from the Expression version onwards, allows it to offer the lowest fuel consumption in the DACIA range, with a figure of 4.7 to 4.9 l/100Km in the WLTP mixed cycle and CO2 consumption of only 105-108 g/Km. A new E-Save function is introduced with this engine, which enables the traction battery to maintain the charge level of the traction battery (about 70 percent of capacity) to keep a sufficient reserve of energy for use in different contexts.
For example, when the driver knows that he or she is about to face specific driving conditions such as a hill or a route in the heart of a city, he or she can activate this function a few kilometers earlier (< 5 km) and deactivate it at the start of the route. The activation of the E-SAVE mode is in fact a proactive choice by the driver: when the engine is started, the E-SAVE mode is therefore deactivated.
Dacia Jogger is available with a list price starting from 18,100 euros in the Essential version with LPG engine.
