PARMA (ITALPRESS) – There could not have been a better debut for Cristian Chivu on the Parma bench. In fact, the Crociati team overcame Bologna 2-0 in the derby of Emilia, thus gaining its first victory in 2025. The match at the Tardini was decided by Bonny on a penalty kick and Sohm in the final. Compared to recent outings under Pecchia management, we see a more shrewd Parma in the defensive phase and less unbalanced. Disappointing, however, was Bologna’s under-rhythm for the entire ninety minutes. Despite a very tactical and rather blocked first half, Parma managed to return to the locker room with a lead, thanks to a penalty scored by Bonny. It then needed an episode to open the scoring at the Tardini: at 35′, in fact, Beukema intercepted with his hand a loose ball in the penalty area. After Abisso’s whistle, from the penalty spot the French striker returns to goal (last time on November 9) and seals the 1-0. The first half, however, does not give only joys to the Crusader formation. There is no peace, in fact, for Bernabè, again victim of physical problems and replaced by Estevez after just five minutes. Bologna, on the other hand, dominated ball possession, but built very little in the offensive zone, suffering from the hosts’ restarts.
The difficulties for Italiano’s side continued in the second half. The guests protested vehemently to Abisso around 63′ when the Palermo whistle blower did not draw the second yellow for Cancellieri: the former Lazio player, after being pardoned by the referee, was immediately replaced by Chivu with Man. So many protests for Bologna, but few ideas on the field. The Rossoblù were consistently inaccurate and it was from a mishandled ball in the middle of the field that Parma’s doubling goal was born. The Crociati closed the scoring with Sohm, fired into the net by an illuminating assist from Man: the midfielder from Chivu thus signed the 2-0 on one-on-one with Ravaglia. In the midst of the recovery, Man goes close to the tic-tac-toe, but is stopped by Ravaglia. For Parma this is a vital success that is worth the momentary 17th place and therefore salvation (waiting for Empoli on the pitch tomorrow). Yet another missed opportunity, instead, for Bologna still stopped by a “little one” of the league.
