MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The premium technology brand Denza, part of the BYD group, is preparing to bring Europe the new electric flagship Denza Z9GT introducing the revolutionary ultra-fast charging technology Flash Charging. The system will be officially presented to the European public during the event scheduled in Paris on 8 April and promises to drastically reduce the charging times of electric cars.
The technology, illustrated by the chairman and CEO of BYD Wang Chuanfu on the occasion of a recent event in China, is based on two main innovations: a new generation of BYD charging stations capable of delivering up to 1,500 kW of power through a single cable and the second evolution of the famous Blade Battery developed by the group. The battery maintains lithium-ferro-phosphate chemistry (LFP) but introduces improvements in the transport of ions, increasing energy density and charging speed in a wide temperature range, with a reduction in degradation phenomena over time.
The result is synthesized in the principle “Ready in 5, complete in 9, with the cold add 3”: the system allows to pass from 10% to 70% charge in just five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes.
Even under extreme conditions, up to -30°C, charging from 20% to 97% takes about twelve minutes. The Z9GT, a shooting brake Gran Turismo developed on the platform e3 Platform dedicated to the brand, combines these performance with the 122 kWh Blade battery that, in the rear traction version, can guarantee up to 800 kilometers of autonomy. On the front of the performance the fully electric variant with three engines exceeds 960 horses, with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds.
Inside, the car will also offer an audio system developed in collaboration with the French specialist Devialet, with dedicated configuration of speakers and immersive technology Dolby Atmos to create a three-dimensional sound experience that transforms the cabin into a high fidelity entertainment space.
