Dermatology and trichology, Jan. 18 Isplad conference in Genoa, Italy

GENOA (ITALPRESS) – An appointment for dermatology and trichology professionals is scheduled in Genoa on Saturday, Jan. 18. “With Hands in the Hair” promises to be a landmark event for specialists in the field, providing a comprehensive update on the latest diagnostic, therapeutic and management innovations in the field of dermatology.The conference will be held at the Tower Genova Airport, Via Pionieri e Aviatori d’Italia 44, beginning at 8 a.m. The program ranges from scalp pathologies to practice management.CME-accredited and organized by ISPLAD and Marina Romagnoli (scientific director), the congress is aimed at a select audience of specialists: dermatologists, venereologists, general surgeons, plastic surgeons and general practitioners.The appointment renews a more than 10-year tradition of presence on the Ligurian territory by ISPLAD, of which Dr. Romagnoli herself is a representative and member of the national board. Among others, ISPLAD President Antonino Di Pietro, director of the Vita Cutis Dermoclinical Institute and host of SkinLongevity, a television magazine of the Italpress agency, will be present.The day will be divided into three sessions. The first will be dedicated to the scalp, an area that can be the site of many significant pathologies. The clinical and dermatoscopic features of inflammatory diseases will be analyzed in depth, with a focus on therapeutic results obtained through the study of the scalp microbiome. The diagnostic and etiologic potential of various forms of scalp dermatitis will be explored. In addition, the latest diagnostic techniques, including digital dermoscopy for the noninvasive identification of skin neoformations, and less invasive strategies for the treatment of post-exposure lesions will be discussed. Special attention will be given to customized photoprotection solutions.The second session will focus on trichology. Hair loss will be examined in detail. The pathophysiological mechanisms underlying various forms of alopecia, including androgenetic, areate, and cancer therapy-induced alopecia, will be addressed. The most recent diagnostic and therapeutic techniques will be presented, with a look at emerging therapies such as the SEFFI methodology for the use of stem cells and TRICOGENESIS, a patented treatment protocol developed from the association of three methods (patting, growth factors and led) as a result of the research project carried out at the Scientific and Technological Pole in collaboration with the University of Bologna.Finally, the third session will focus on administrative and management aspects. Practical issues will be addressed, including regulations related to the application of VAT on medical services and the authorization regimes required to ensure compliance with laws and safety in care.Concrete examples of the use of management software in the medical practice will be shown to optimize workflows and improve communication with patients and colleagues. In addition, the emerging role of artificial intelligence, a technology that, if used with the right precautions, can be an important resource for professional efficiency, will be explored.
