LAMEZIA TERME (ITALPRESS) – A complex network dedicated to promoting illegal immigration was dismantled by the financiers of the Lamezia Terme Group. The Prosecutor of the local Republic, signed by the Prosecutor, notified the notice of conclusion of preliminary investigations to 61 persons, held responsible, in various ways and in competition, of serious violations to the Single Text on immigration and of numerous other crimes.
The investigations carried out by the Gialle Fiamme have outlined a proven illicit system aimed at guaranteeing the unlawful stay in the territory of the State and the renewal of residence permits for many non-EU citizens. The accusations hypothesized by the polluters range from favoring illegal immigration to the false ideology in public action, to the scam, the omitted denunciation and the undue perception of public issues.
According to what emerged, the system would have used the complicity of an official public “inhabitual”, who would have written reports of verification of the false residence in order to allow the inscription of foreign citizens in the registers of the Municipality. At the same time, tax lease contracts were produced (regularly registered to the Revenue Agency) and non-existent job recruitment communications.
The investigative framework would also involve other public employees: one for a single episode of false in public action and another for disclosure of office secret, having the latter reported details on the ongoing investigation activities of the Guardia di Finanza. Illicit activities did not stop at work documentation: some inquisitors would have taken care of organizing fake marriages between Italian citizens, in some cases ultra-seven, and young women of Magrebina nationality, to the sole purpose of regularizing their position on the territory.
The center of the system would also be a patronage of Lamezia Terme. The managers of the structure, while formally declaring themselves unemployed and perceiving the income of citizenship, would have taken illicit profits by requesting compensation to non-EU citizens to instruct the practices of phytosanitary recruitment. The operation also had heavy reflections on the front of public expenditure: 55 people were revoked the benefit of citizenship income, obtained falsely by declaring a ten-year residence in Italy never occurred. Of the 61 total surveys, 47 are non-EU citizens and 14 are of Italian nationality.
