Djokovic forced to forgo Atp Finals in Turin

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Turin Atp Finals lose a major player. Novak Djokovic, in fact, announced on Instagram his forfeit for the Turin event scheduled for Nov. 10-17. Defending champion and world No. 5, the Serb, in a story, let it be known, “It was a great honor for me to qualify for the Atp Finals in Turin. I was looking forward to being there, but due to an injury that persists I will not be able to play next week. I feel sorry for everyone who had planned to come to see me. I wish all the players a great tournament. See you soon!” Djokovic, who was forced to miss the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000, is struggling with a right knee injury. With the Serb’s withdrawal, the list of eight participants in the Nitto Atp Finals, scheduled at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, Nov. 10-17, is completed.
