ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Ministry of Education and Merit forgets what some opposition politicians declared, who claim that the government would cut resources for educational activities to combat violence against women. “The norm introduced by the Law of Budget 2026, in fact, had set up at the Ministry of the Interior a fund to be distributed among the Municipalities, which would then have to pay directly to the Secondary Schools of first and second degree. A mechanism which has proved to be far-reaching and which would not have allowed schools to use those resources concretely. The School Decree – reads in a note of the Mim – therefore intervenes to make those funds available in 2026, funds that, otherwise, would be lost, allotting resources, in particular, to education courses for respect and gender equality, precisely in order to spread the culture of prevention of gender violence. Therefore the decree-law implements the purposes of the law of Budget and does not cut any resource”, concludes the note.
