Roma let it be known in a note that the Argentine striker “will undergo surgery in the coming days following the injury to his left semitendinosus tendon. The player and the club decided by mutual agreement that this was the correct path for an optimal recovery from the injury. To Paulo the best wishes for a speedy recovery, we are waiting for you!” reads the Giallorossi club’s statement, which, however, does not provide further information on recovery time.
