Egypt and India discuss investment and strengthening economic cooperation

CAIRO (EGYPT) (ITALPRESS) – The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel atty, today received the Indian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the two parties praised the positive development of relations between Egypt and India, confirming the intention to intensify cooperation, particularly in the economic, commercial and investment sectors. The hope was also expressed to hold the 14th round of political consultations in Cairo in February and the 8th session of the Joint Commission in June 2026, underlining the importance of establishing a Council of Joint Affairs and a Chamber of Egyptian-Indian Commerce.

On the edge of the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Nabil Habashi discussed the economic aspects of bilateral relations with the Indian State Minister, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening economic, commercial and investment cooperation.
