Egypt and Tunisia aim to strengthen political partnership and economic cooperation

TUNISI (TUNISIA) (ITALPRESS) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty met Tunisian President Kais Saied during an official visit to Tunisia, delivering a written letter from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. In the text, the Egyptian President reiterated the special nature of the fraternal relations between the two countries and the intention to strengthen bilateral cooperation in different sectors.

In his letter, Al Sisi sent his greetings to the Tunisian President, hoping for stability, progress and prosperity for Tunisia, and stressed the importance of raising the level of political relations and intensifying economic, commercial and investment cooperation. For his part, Saied gave minister Abdel Aaty his greetings to President Al-Sisi, praising the depth of historical ties between the two countries and the continuous coordination on several levels.

During the meeting, the prospects for strengthening economic cooperation were discussed, with particular reference to increasing trade and promoting reciprocal investment, as well as major regional developments, in particular the Palestinian question, the situation in Libya and developments in Sudan and the Horn of Africa, with the commitment to continue bilateral coordination in support of regional stability.
