BRUSSELS (ITALPRESS) – Green light for the two executive vice presidents-designate Teresa Ribera and Raffaele Fitto by the relevant committees of the European Parliament. The Regional Development Committee confirmed Raffaele Fitto as executive vice president to Cohesion and Reforms, and the Environment, Industry and Energy and Economic Affairs committees approved Teresa Ribera as executive vice president to Clean, Just and Competitive Transition. “Raffaele Fitto,” says Premier Giorgia Meloni, “has been confirmed in the role of Executive Vice President of the European Commission. This important post given to the Commissioner designated by Italy is a victory for all Italians, not for the government or a political force. We have obtained a portfolio of weight and the coordination of strategic delegations for our Nation and for the whole of Europe, such as agriculture, fishing, the economy of the sea, transport and tourism.
