MILAN (ITALPRESS) – With EV2 Kia further expands its electric range and brings zero-emission technology to the heart of the B-SUV segment, one of the most strategic and growing of the European market. Presented as the entry level model of the brand’s EV portfolio, EV2 represents the most compact electric car ever made by Kia, without sacrificing content, space and technology typical of higher categories.
About four metres long, EV2 has been designed with particular attention to urban use, but with a strong personality from SUV. The design is inspired by the “Opposites United” philosophy and stands out for the vertical profiles, the Star Map light signature, the robust wheelbase and a marked belt line. The wheels range from 16 to 19 inches, while the GT-line version accentuates the lifestyle with high-glossy details and dedicated finishes.
Despite the compact size, the cabin surprises with space and rationality. Thanks to the E-GMP electric platform, EV2 has a 2.565 mm pitch and offers excellent rear dwelling, with 885 mm for legs and 973 mm for the head. The trunk starts from 362 liters and reaches 1,201 liters lowering the seats, to which is added a front frunk of 15 liters.
The dashboard is modern and passenger-oriented, with the infotainment ccNC triple screen: 12.3 inch central instrument panel and display plus air conditioning screen. Also debuts the new ccNC Lite, designed to contain costs without sacrificing advanced features, OTA updates and Kia digital services.
EV2 is proposed with two batteries: 42.2 kWh for 317 km of WLTP autonomy and 61.0 kWh for 448 km. Both adopt 400V architecture and support DC rapid charging, as well as AC charging up to 22 kW, an absolute novelty for Kia. The V2L and V2G functions complete the picture, making the vehicle a real mobile energy resource. Produced in the Slovak plant of ,ilina, EV2 will arrive on the market from 2026 and aims to democratize access to electric mobility, bringing superior content into a compact, technological and sustainable model.
