ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Mr Adolfo Urso, during a long telephone interview informed the president of the Puglia Region, Antonio Decaro, of the meeting that took place last Friday at Mimit with local Apulia authorities, also on the operational plan for the relaunching of the former Ilva prepared by the extraordinary commissioners and the potential of further investments in the area of Taranto.
Minister Urso also updated President Decaro on the objectives of the decree ex Ilva, currently in the Senate examination, and on the negotiating procedures for the sale of the assets previewed in the ongoing international race. Urso was then confronted with Dean on the prospects for the revision of CBAM according to the addresses of the Italian government, on the need for a prompt adoption in the EU of the safeguard measures for the steel sector and on the importance of opening to a revision of the ETS dossier, including the postponement of the phase out of the free quotas. The Minister Urso finally assured President Decaro the maximum commitment and full collaboration of the Government with the Region and local authorities.
