ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine. Each of the two countries liberated 175 army of the opposite side, a few hours after the entry into force of the truce for Orthodox Easter.
“Our soldiers are coming home. 175 military. Armed Forces, National Guard members, border guards. Simple, sergeant and official soldiers. And seven civilians – writes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram -. Our soldiers defended Ukraine in different directions: at Mariupol, at Chernobyl nuclear power plant, in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Kiev and Kursk. There are wounded among them. Most of it was a prisoner since 2022. And I’m finally home. The return of all those who have been held captive in Russia is fundamental to us. Thanks to all those who help us in the world”.
