Experiential tours and seasonal adjustment, Liguria’s offerings at ITB Berlin

GENOA (ITALPRESS) – Liguria is confirmed as one of the protagonists at the ITB in Berlin, one of the world’s most important tourism fairs, with an offer increasingly focused on emerging trends in the sector. At its institutional stand, set up within the ENIT area, the region presents a well-established tourism model that focuses on authentic experiences, deseasonalization and accessibility, all key elements to respond to growing international demand.

In the first two days of the event, being held at the Berlin Messe until March 6, the booth registered strong interest from foreign operators and buyers, confirming the attractiveness of the Ligurian region far beyond beach tourism. The region is putting the spotlight on outdoor experiences, from the hiking network to cycling routes, but also on wine and food tourism, art and culture. An offer that ties in perfectly with the growing demand for personalized and sustainable travel.

“We continue with great dynamism the promotion of Liguria at major international fairs. After being in Norway, the Netherlands, Spain and at the Bit in Milan, two weeks after the Free in Munich we are again in Germany, in Berlin, to consolidate ourselves in our foreign reference market: in 2024 the presences of German tourists in Liguria have in fact confirmed last year’s numbers standing at almost one and a half million out of more than 7.4 million foreigners – says Regional Councillor for Tourism Luca Lombardi – Easter with all the bridges is imminent and we will be ready to welcome all those who will choose to visit Liguria: in particular, our region adapts very well to the needs of the Germans as its exceptional climate is perfect for the outdoors, a form of tourism they love very much. Deseasonalization, or rather open seasonalization, is the leitmotif that our operators are pursuing: Liguria should be experienced 365 days a year in the coastal resorts and in the inland villages where one can relax, practice sports, immerse oneself in culture and taste all our food and wine excellence.”
