MARANELLO (MODENA) (ITALPRESS) – Ferrari presented the SF-26, the new single-seater with which the team will face the World Championship of Formula 1, whose start is scheduled on March 8 in Australia. The car, the seventy-second realized by the Casa di Maranello for the maximum automotive category, opens a new regulatory cycle that marks the beginning of a completely unpublished phase for the F1, which will be characterized by lighter cars, a profound rethinking of aerodynamic concepts and a new generation of power units.
The presentation took place today at the Fiorano track. “The SF-26 marks the beginning of a new cycle for Formula 1 and for Ferrari that proposes, in the same year, new rules for the chassis, for the power unit, new fuels and rubbers with different characteristics. This car is the result of a great teamwork and marks the start of a completely new route, built on different rules that sees all competitors having to deal with a few unknowns – explains the team principal Frederic Vasseur –. The team is aligned and more united than ever in view of the season that awaits us.”.
“From next week in Barcelona we will begin the work of understanding and validation of the car. In this first phase, the priority will be to learn as much as possible and start building solid foundations on which to plan work in view of the beginning of the season,” Vasseur added.

“Regulations 2026 require even more thorough preparation, especially for us drivers. There are many new systems to better understand and exploit, and for this we have worked a lot since the early stages of the project development. In my years in Ferrari we have already lived together important regulatory changes: we know how complex the challenge is, but we are working with great motivation to get to the track as soon as possible”. So Charles Leclerc, Ferrari driver, on the day of the presentation of the new SF-26 in view of the 2026 season, beginning on March 8 with the Australian Grand Prix. “The management of energy and power unit will be one of the most significant aspects. The support of fans this season will be particularly important: It is what makes Ferrari so special and it pushes us to always give the maximum”, adds Leclerc, who prepares to start the eighth season with the stable of Maranello.
