FIRENZE (ITALPRESS) – Two women, with family ties, died within a few hours in the evening of yesterday in Pistoia. The first, a 87 year old, was hit by a car while crossing the road in Via Fiorentina, a locality of Sperone. The second, a 58-year-old lady, died due to the consequences of a sudden malore probably due to emotional shock in seeing her mother-in-law unconscious.
The fatal accident occurred around 6 pm on the day of St. Stephen. A driver, who proceeded in the direction of Bottegone (Pistoia), invested the elderly, who would die on the blow. Laura Mecheri, who was with the victim, collapsed immediately after the impact, probably choked by a cardiac arrest caused by strong emotional shock.
Three outpatients and self-medicate intervened on the spot, but reanimation attempts for both women were vain. The driver of the vehicle, who had stopped immediately after the accident to assist the 87-year-old, and deeply affected by the incident, was subjected to alcohol test, and was negative.
The Municipal Police has transennato the area to carry out the reliefs and clarify the exact position of vehicle and victims at the time of the left. The family and relatives of the two women were alerted and came to the place.
