MILAN (ITALPRESS) – UniCredit and Federalberghi have entered into an agreement that provides member hotels with a dedicated commercial offer, with the aim of supporting member companies, assisting them in their growth path.
UniCredit’s support for Tourism responds to the typical needs of hotel, non-hotel and spa businesses, with a particular focus on: financing of specific investment strategies, such as technological innovation, hotel upgrading and working capital support, including through flexible forms of amortization that take into account the seasonality of receipts; the definition of ad hoc conditions for the acceptance of credit and debit card payments; a wide range of financial solutions designed to support investments with “green” purposes to stimulate and enhance the achievement of sustainability goals; the “Made4Italy” program, aimed at promoting projects that enhance local specificities, through the development of a joint offer between tourism and agribusiness companies. With the second edition of Made4Italy in the three-year period 2022-2024, UniCredit has provided 6.6 billion in new finance; specialized advice and support in accessing facilitative measures under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP).
Federalberghi, the main organization representing Italy’s more than 32,000 hotels, together with its 127 associations throughout the country, will accompany the meeting between member businesses and the approximately 2,000 branches that make up UniCredit’s business network.
“Tourism, for the Italian economy, is a strategic sector that plays an important role in promoting our culture and maintaining local traditions,” comments Remo Taricani, Deputy Head of Italy at UniCredit (pictured). UniCredit, a pan-European bank but with a strongly territorial model, supports businesses in the sector through dedicated products and services. In particular, we believe that the agreement signed today with Federalberghi strengthens mutual cooperation and allows tourism businesses to seize all opportunities in the territory.”
“When the needs and difficulties of our businesses find an answer in the support of the banking system, it is a sign that the objective of development and growth becomes a common matter,” emphasizes Alessandro Nucara, director general of Federalberghi. “In my opinion, this is the figure of the agreement signed with UniCredit, which will be able to guide our businesses both in the area of investment strategies, and in enhancing and implementing interventions in the area of sustainability and, again, in allowing them to better orient themselves regarding those measures of interest to the sector provided for by the PNRR. We will proceed together, in the knowledge that, as we have always maintained, doing good for Tourism also means doing good for Italy.”
