MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Next March 20 at 10:01 a.m., coinciding with the spring equinox, will kick off the ninth edition of the Festival of Sustainability on the Garda, an ‘innovative and multidisciplinary initiative, unique at the national and international level, which involves the Garda territories of Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino, to implement a path of sustainable territorial development and mobilize citizens, businesses, associations and institutions.
The festival schedule was presented today at the territorial headquarters of the Lombardy Region in Brescia by the regional councillor for the Environment and Climate, Giorgio Maione. “Garda,” said Maione, “is an engine of sustainability in several areas. This initiative contributes to making the Garda area the epicenter of spreading a renewed culture of sustainability. Enhancing the value of our lake and the territory that surrounds it is fundamental for the development of Lombardy.”
The Festival’s program includes more than a hundred initiatives included in a broader series of projects that decline the theme of sustainable development in 360 degrees: ‘Seeds of Sustainability’ (27 appointments), ‘Sustainable Garda Walks’ (47 appointments), ‘Garda World Days’ (32 appointments) and ‘Garda Jubilee’ ( 6 appointments).
Specifically, there will be seminars, workshops, exhibitions, sporting events, presentations of research on local culture and economic analysis, as well as educational workshops, examples of best practices, training paths, urban regeneration projects, participatory planning activities, and in-depth discussions on green lifestyles.
