TURIN (ITALPRESS) – Fiat Grande Panda scored a victory on the international automotive scene, winning the “Best Urban Vehicle of the Year” award at the 13th Motor Awards, held at the Vocento Group headquarters in Madrid.
This prestigious award was bestowed on FIAT’s newest model by Spanish women’s magazine Mujer Hoy, which recognized its smart innovations and practical solutions in a compact design, describing it as an electric and hybrid car with cutting-edge design, full of original ideas.
The “Motor Awards” are highly prestigious awards in the Spanish automotive industry through the analysis of various models, evaluating performance, equipment, design and practicality from a distinctly female perspective. Built to meet the needs of a diverse audience in an affordable and environmentally friendly way and designed by the Fiat Style Center in Turin, Italy, the Grande Panda combines Italian charm with modern functionality while remaining true to the practicality of the original 1980 Fiat Panda.
Available with hybrid and electric powertrains, it stands out for its commitment to sustainability. In addition, the use of recycled materials-such as aluminum and plastic components from beverage cartons used in the blue plastic interior, and sustainable fabrics with real bamboo fibers used in the dashboard cover-highlight its green approach.
While not “big” in terms of size-it measures 3.99 m long, 1.76 m wide and 1.57 m high-the Grande Panda stands out for its practical and ingenious innovations and ideas. One of the most notable features is the integrated coiled charging cable, exclusive to the electric model. Designed for convenience and ease of use, it supports AC charging up to 7 kW and is stowed under the hood, freeing up space in the trunk and making it easier to handle and clean in daily use. The car also offers additional charging options with 11 kW and 100 kW ports located in the rear.
