Fiat Topolino launches “Top-News,” new initiative in Milan newsstands

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Fiat Topolino, the quadricycle devoted to sustainable urban mobility and the Dolce Vita, is the protagonist of the new “Top-News” project, confirming once again that it is a cool object capable of breaking the mold and the status quo of mobility, as it has already demonstrated with its unconventional way in multichannel purchasing modes. That may be part of the reason why it took the lead in the quadricycle market in the last four months. At the center of the new initiative are the special Civic newsstands in downtown Milan, historic structures transformed into modern meeting and discussion venues where debates, cultural events and unconventional initiatives can be hosted. The same originality and flair characterizes the Topolino, a 100% electric vehicle that pays homage to the brand’s history and its ability to innovate with sympathy and ease, perfectly embodying Fiat’s values of distinctive style, innovation and accessibility. Thus was born a sui generis project that goes far beyond simply displaying a vehicle in a location. The first two Civic newsstands involved are those located in the Navigli and Città Studi, in Piazza XXIV Maggio and Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, respectively. In particular, the Navigli area is one of the most beloved and well-known in Milan, due to its many artisan stores and lively nightlife. Similarly, Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, where the Politecnico is based, is the heart and cosmopolitan nerve center of Città Studi. From Sept. 30 to Oct. 7, an exciting test drive aboard Fiat Topolino can be booked at the Civic Darsena-Navigli newsstand while, from Oct. 7 to Oct. 13, the micro-mobility solution accessible to all, from 14 years old and up, can be admired at the Civic Poli newsstand by the many young people who populate this university district, with the possibility of trying it out in city traffic. Thanks to its small size (2.53 meters in length) and outstanding handling, the Topolino features a maximum speed limited to 45km/h, which fits perfectly with the new trend of 30km/h speed limits in cities. Available in two versions, open or enclosed, the vehicle adopts a 5.4-kWh battery pack, which offers up to 75km of range and easy charging at home. In addition, the Topolino boasts extraordinary roominess, given by the two misaligned seats, a large glass area, which greatly increases the perception of space in its entirety, and, most importantly, strategically placed luggage compartments. One of these, located between the driver and passenger, can accommodate a suitcase, for a total of 63 liters of interior cargo space. What differentiates the two versions is the addition of nautical-style cords and a Dolcevita logo heel pad in the open version. In addition, exclusive optional accessories are available on the webpage, or at Fiat dealers, including a roomy storage bag, USB fan, Bluetooth speaker, thermal water bottle, and two seat covers that turn into comfortable beach towels when needed. In addition, for such a special vehicle, Fiat has also created a revolutionary customer experience, inspired by the most popular e-commerce platforms, that simplifies and makes the buying process fun and totally digital and with the option of home delivery or at the nearest dealership. Customers can follow all steps through an innovative tracking process that allows them to check the location of the product at any time, from order to delivery, by accessing the Fiat website, receiving e-mail updates and contacting the Back Office team. Topolino is offered at a promotional price with state incentive starting at 7,544 euros, the same as the closed or Dolcevita version. In addition, thanks also to state incentives, it is available with a solution, proposed by Stellantis Financial Services, of 48-month leasing with a monthly fee starting at 29 euros, similar to the price of a monthly public transportation pass. “Fiat continues its mission to develop sustainable mobility for cities, making electric driving easy and accessible to everyone. The new Fiat Topolino is yet another example of this, an electric vehicle that is cool and suitable for everyone, designed for families and even younger people. They are the ones who have decreed its success in the Italian electric quadricycle market, where in the last quarter it took the lead. We are proud to see how our little-big Mickey Mouse has become a protagonist in Italian cities and is now part of our daily routine as going to the newsstands in our neighborhoods, bringing with it a positive energy and a spirit of freedom that goes well with the beating heart of Milan, the scene of this new unconventional initiative,” said Dichiara Giuseppe Galassi, Managing Director Fiat & Abarth in Italy.
