Fiorentina overwhelms Inter 3-0, double for Kean

FLORENCE (ITALPRESS) – Fiorentina treats itself to a magical night and beating Italian champions Inter 3-0 also does a big favor for leading Napoli, with Conte sure to thank fellow coach Palladino, author of a great little soccer masterpiece. It was the goals of Luca Ranieri and Moise Kean, a brace, that decided the match interrupted last Dec. 1 due to an illness that occurred to Edoardo Bove at 16′ of the first half. Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri played poorly, at a low pace and without lucidity, while in contrast the Tuscans put in a sumptuous performance going beyond their wildest expectations, thus moving up in the standings to fourth place alongside Lazio. The hosts already deprived of all newcomers from the winter market, in addition to Bove and Adli, must also give up Gudmundsson, victim of tonsillitis that stops him a few hours before the match. Palladino thus has to come up with a 4-4-1-1 with Parisi and Dodo on the offensive outside, but actually with defensive characteristics. Inzaghi on the other side gives a turn to rest Barella and Pavard, but does not give up Lautaro and Thuram as well as Calhanoglu in the direction, although the Turk is not at his best.
The Nerazzurri play the game but it is the Gigliati who twice come close to scoring, first with Kean who shoots at Sommer, however, and then with Dodo who alone in front of the visiting goalkeeper puts it wide. Inter would also score a goal instead with Carlos Augusto served by Bastoni, but the Var intervenes: offside and the match director Doveri cancels. Fiorentina takes the lead at 13′ of the second half on the development of its first corner kick: Mandragora beats Mandragora, Luca Ranieri inserts inside the area who burns Frattesi and beats Sommer. Inter’s reaction is expected at this point but it is the Gigliati who double at 68′ when on a cross from the right Moise Kean scores his 14th Serie A center from a header. Inzaghi then decided to play it all, in came Arnautovic, Dimarco and Barella, and switched from 3-5-2 to a super offensive 3-4-1-2. Inter, however, does not react and so with 8′ to go also Taremi in for Carlos Augusto with four forwards on the pitch at the same time. The result for Inter, however, is a team too unbalanced and Kean sinks the knife in at 91′. At the final triple whistle there was jubilation both under the purple fans’ sector and also from the sides of Naples. Three goals, three points and a lot of emotions on a special night for Edoardo Bove and the purple people.
