Fiorentina show at Via del Mare, Lecce overwhelmed 6-0

LECCE (ITALPRESS) – Fiorentina overwhelms Lecce 6-0 at the Via del Mare in the match valid for the eighth day of the 2024/2025 Serie A championship: against the Salentini in ten for more than a half, doubles by Danilo Cataldi and Andrea Colpani and goals by Lucas Beltran and Fabiano Parisi decide. The Giallorossi immediately tried to push and went to the conclusion with Krstovic, but De Gea blocked without problems. After just 9′ Citterio, deputy to the disqualified Palladino, loses Albert Gudmundsson to injury and sends Lucas Beltran on instead. Despite the Icelandic’s exit, the purple team took the lead at 20′ thanks to Danilo Cataldi’s goal, who put in the winning saucer on Bove’s assist. At 28′ came the Salentini’s answer with Krstovic who, by a matter of centimeters, missed the impact with the ball on Gallo’s excellent cross. Fiorentina shows more concreteness, in fact, at 34′ Colpani collects the ball and on a wrong exit of Falcone and places it in the corner for the double. It rains on the wet for Lecce, which at 43′ remains in numerical inferiority following the expulsion for direct red of Antonino Gallo, author of a foul on Dodò. Two minutes later Cataldi paints an impregnable trajectory on a free kick and kicks the hat trick, allowing Fiorentina to go to rest on a 3-0 scoreline. In the second half, Luca Gotti tried to shake up his team through substitutions, but the script of the match did not change, and at 54′ the Tuscan club scored a poker with Colpani’s double, who slotted the ball under the crossbar of the posts with his left foot. The violets are not satisfied, they keep pushing and also find the 5-0 goal in 61′ with Beltran who, on Kouame’s support, easily seals the winning tap-in. At 72′ there was also room for personal glory for Parisi: the outside player entered the box and let off a diagonal shot deflected by Guilbert, which ended up behind Falcone for the final 6-0. By virtue of this result Fiorentina climbs to fifth place on 13 points along with Atalanta, Lazio and Udinese, while Lecce remains third-last on 5. Now for the Tuscans there will be a Conference League engagement against St. Gallen, scheduled for Thursday.- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
