MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Enthusiasm, participation and a lot of desire to play at the Secondary School of I Grado “S. Caterina da Siena” in Milan, protagonist of the second event of the national route promoted by Sport and Health and adidas to counter the phenomenon of sport drop-out among the youngest.
After the success of the first stage, the journey continues with a new meeting dedicated to first-degree secondary school students, a moment of confrontation and activity designed to strengthen the link between boys and sports practice in a delicate phase of growth, where the risk of abandonment increases.
To make the presence of two exceptional adidas ambassadors special in the morning: Diego Flaccadori, champion of basketball and reference point of Italian basketball, and Filippo Magnini, former champion of the swimming world and symbol of determination and resilience. In the gym, between dynamic exercises, basketball shoots and team play moments, students were involved in an experience that combined physical activity and dialogue. In addition to the technicians of the project Scuola Active Junior, Flaccadori and Magnini have guided some activities and shared their personal experiences, telling how sport helped them overcome difficulties, manage defeats and build confidence in themselves. “There are times when it’s easy to quit – said Diego Flaccadori – but that’s where sport teaches you to stay, to believe in everyday work and your companions. If we can transmit this to the boys, we have already won.” On the same line Filippo Magnini: “Sport puts you to the test, but it also gives you fundamental tools for life: discipline, respect, ability to react. It is important that children find a positive environment, where they feel supported and not judged.”.
The project, divided into six national stages, confirms an inclusive and continuing educational path that focuses on the psychophysical well-being of young people. Each appointment addresses a specific theme linked to the contrast of drop-out, with the aim of building an authentic and lasting relationship with sports activity. Workshops, practical activities and moments of direct confrontation with great athletes thus become occasions of high social value, in which sport becomes a universal language capable of creating connections, strengthening self-esteem and promoting active participation. Because when a boy chooses to continue doing sports, he is not only cultivating a passion: he is investing in his balance, in his growth and in his future. And bringing the movement back to the centre of the school means building a stronger, inclusive and conscious community, one step at a time.
