Flights resumed at London’s Heathrow Airport after fire

LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) — London’s Heathrow Airport, the fifth busiest in the world, which had been closed due to a large fire that broke out Thursday night, is back in operation. This was stated on the British airport’s own website. “Flights have resumed after yesterday’s power outage,” the website reports. “If you have to leave today, we recommend that you still contact your airline for the latest flight information before going to the airport. We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience while operations return to normal.”

The first flight, after a fire at an electrical substation caused chaos in the skies of Europe yesterday with about 1,400 flights canceled and 300,000 passengers stranded, took off in the night. “Suspicious” causes for what happened yesterday were ruled out.
