For Dacia in 2025 over 97 thousand registrations, Sandero the best sold

MILANO (ITALPRESS) – For the third consecutive year, Dacia has confirmed itself as a leader in the retail market: in only 2025 97.198 cars (+13.1%) were registered and a market share of 5.67% (auto + commercial vehicles) and 6.2% in the car market was reached. These are the main data made known at the press conference in Milan.

Particularly satisfied Guido Tocci, Managing Director Dacia Italia. “In 2025 Dacia in Italy has performed very well: in our country about 50,000 Sandero has been sold and this is another significant figure because Sandero is the star of our brand. And for the third consecutive year in Italy the brand Dacia confirms the first for sales in the private channel that we know to be a fundamental channel for success in Italy. So I would say that altogether we can feel absolutely satisfied”, he said.

Dacia’s numbers are significant, especially when related to the market in its entirety: the latter, in fact, in 2025 recorded a -2.4% in terms of sales, while Dacia earned 0.5 points compared to 2024 (for a total therefore of -2,19%). With regard to the GPL market in Italy, Dacia’s market share is 58,53% (up from 2024).

Entering the detail of sales in relation to models, Tocci explained that Duster is the third most sold model in the private market in the B-Suv segment; Spring is the second best-selling model in the A segment of the electric market, while Sandero confirms the best-selling foreign car in the Italian market.

Asked about the reasons for Dacia’s good performance, Tocci said that “the first one that comes to mind is the fact that we are an extremely clear, simple and strongly transparent brand towards the customer: even if he knows us for the first time only on the web, when he comes to dealership he finds exactly what he saw. So it’s an honesty speech we’ve always pursued towards the customer. Another important aspect is the fact of proposing to customers really what is essential to them, that is those things that the customer actually needs. It is not a static concept, but dynamic and this clearly makes Dacia a brand easily readable by the customer.”.

Given the success in sales, the brand has decided to give Sandero a complete redesign and internal technology. Outside, Sandero and Sandero Stepway adopt a new led light signature made up of an upside down T. The new light signature is connected to the calandra by a thin line of white dots, such as pixels that stand out distinctly against the black background of the grid: the new complex calandra / headlights therefore becomes perfectly integrated into the new bumper so as to form a homogeneous element.

On the back side, the design of the “pixel” led headlights is modified in order to create the illusion of extending the rear window. The new protections in Starkle (material composed of 20% recycled plastic) extend over the wheelbase, underscow and fog covers. At the level of technology, the news to report in the restyling are the automatic headlights to optimize the night vision avoiding dazzling other users.

In addition, the system takes full advantage of the use of dazzling and automatically switches to dazzlers when another vehicle appears. They follow the Multiview Camera for car park assistance, electric foldable rearviews in case of parking in narrow streets, a 10-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital color display.

Among the driving assistance devices, to signal automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and fatigue detection system with camera.
According to Rosa Sangiovanni, Marketing Director Dacia Italia, “the most important news is the engine range. Remembering that Dacia is market leader in terms of gpl motorization with a share that goes over 50%, we have actually renewed this engine making it more powerful and more efficient. It is now 120 horses, so 20 more horses than the previous one and with an efficiency that reduces CO2 emissions by 19%”.

This was possible by increasing the size of the gpl tanks by bringing them to 49.6 liters capacity instead of 40 on the Sandero range. The range in GPL mode increases by 20%, reaching a total (GPL + petrol) of 1.590 km on Sandero Streetway and 1.480 km on Sandero Stepway.

“Ultima, but no less important news, concerns the availability and offer of the Full Hybrid range. It will be in fact available on Dacia Sandero Stepway the Full Hybrid engine 155 horses starting from the second half of 2026″, concluded.

In the case of Hybrid 155 we talk about a 4 cylinder petrol engine, 1.8 books from 109 cv, two electric motors (a 50 cv motor and a high voltage starter/generator), a 1.4 kWh battery (230 V) and an electrified automatic transmission. The latter has four reports dedicated to the thermal engine and two others to the electric one. This new motorization (155 cv, pair of 170 Nm), combined with a high-performance automatic transmission, guarantees a remarkable efficiency with emissions and consumption reduced by 10% compared to the previous Hybrid 140 motorization.

In the city it is possible to circulate up to 80% of the time in completely electric mode. Moreover, the start is systematically done in 100% electric mode.
