For Renault Group Italy in 2024 strong acceleration of sales

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Renault Group reports a major increase in Italy-wide sales: up 10 percent over 2023, for a total of 203,870 passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and a market share of 11.6 percent. This is the best result in 35 years. The Group, thanks to the effective contribution of its Network, is confirmed in third place in the carmaker ranking in Italy, thanks to three strong, complementary and value-creating Brands. For Renault, growth of 6.8 percent, with 104,389 vehicles sold in 2024. In terms of performance, the Renault brand records 5.9 percent market share, making it the fourth largest automotive brand in our country. Dacia records record sales since the brand’s launch in Italy in 2006 and, for the second year in a row, leads the retail market. In 2024, in fact, growth stands at 13.1 percent, with 99,371 vehicles sold. In terms of performance, the Dacia brand records 5.65% market share. Alpine grows by 38% in 2024 in Italy. Passenger car sales to private customers account for 83% of the Group’s sales in Italy, in line with the Renaulution strategy. The Renault Group continues its electrification offensive: always attentive to customer needs, it has made technological choices that are bearing fruit and is intensifying its commitment to the energy transition. As far as Renault is concerned, demand is growing for electrification, hybrid and 100% electric. In Italy, the brand is intensifying its offensive, taking second place in electrified vehicles, thanks to the success of hybrid powertrains that are increasingly demanded by customers. Dacia Spring, the zero-emission compact car renewed during 2024, is the best-selling electric in A and B segments, the heart of the market in our country. 2025 will be an important year in terms of commercial launches for the Group in Italy, with Renault 4 E-Tech Electric, Dacia Bigster and Alpine A390 helping to sustain the Group’s performance.
