Ford Youth Academy, the workshop for tomorrow’s young talent

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The new 2024/25 season of the Ford Youth Academy is ready to go. Ford Italy renews its bet on young talent and relaunches its training program dedicated to female students from vocational schools. An ambitious project, focused on the mobility of the future, with the aim of training specialized technicians, with a particular focus on electric vehicles. The initiative aims to create virtuous synergies between school and the world of work, offering students the opportunity to get a hands-on approach to work in a dealership, or workshop, with a focus on team activities and the management of new technologies. The direct experience on engines and cars for the understanding of complex technologies, combined with the support of Ford Italia’s team of engineers, and the presence in the classroom, enriches the training path. “The Ford Youth Academy represents our investment in the future,” says Fabrizio Faltoni, CEO of Ford Italia. “It is a project we strongly believe in, not only for the opportunity it offers to so many young boys and girls, but also for what it represents for us. Being able to train and place highly specialized technicians in the world of work allows us to offer our customers an even more punctual and efficient service, and this is fundamental for us. “The Ford Youth Academy is now in its fourth year of activity. The 2023/24 academic year saw the participation of as many as eleven institutions, including such historic names as Istituto Settembrini – IIS Maxwell of Milan (in its second participation) and IPSIA Dalmazio Birago of Turin, now a veteran in its third edition. More than one hundred students, from different institutions such as IIS De Amicis – Cattaneo in Rome, IPSIA Dalmazio Birago in Turin, Scuola Bottega Artigiani Impresa Sociale in Brescia, and Azienda Bergamasca Formazione in Curno – Trescore (BG), completed the training course at the Ford Campus in Rome, receiving a certificate of participation, a real passport to the future. For 2025, the Ford Youth Academy will further expand its network of partnerships with schools and vocational training centers throughout the country, offering more young people the opportunity to participate in a training project of excellence. The Academy is committed to training highly skilled technicians, professionals who can lead the transition to electric mobility. The program provides skills, from the most traditional to the most innovative technologies, to meet the challenges of the future.
