FIRENZE (ITALPRESS) – At the end of an articulated investigation of the State Police, which engaged the police of the Cyber Security Operations Centre for Tuscany, 17 searches were carried out against the same number of investigations, of which 4 sections under arrest, for the detention and dissemination of pornographic material realized with the use of minors of the 18 years.
The activity, resulting from the analysis of a computer device seized during another operation of contrast to online pedopornography, allowed 17 users to locate in Italy, considered responsible for exchange content of child pornography.
The investigators, for several months, monitored the conduct of suspected profiles, detecting that they downloaded and, in some cases, shared videos and images depicting minors, using a well-known instant messaging application.
Further insights, both traditional and technical, have allowed users to identify, all men between 20 and 70 years, resident in different Italian regions, some with specific prejudices.
On the basis of the elements collected, the Prosecutor at the Court of Florence issued the decrees of search, which were executed at the same time, with the use of over 50 operators of the Postal Police of Tuscany, Sardinia, Lombardy, Campania, Sicily, Lazio, Piedmont and Veneto, coordinated by the National Center for Contrast to Online Pedopornography (CNCPO) of the Postal Police Service and Cyber Security.
During the operation tens of thousands of child pornography files were found, in some cases also meticulously classified by categories of interest.
The possession of large amounts of material has allowed four of the recipients of the measures to be arrested in scourgency, while the remaining investigations have been reported on a free foot basis, unless 3 are unavailable.
