PARIGI (FRANCIA) (ITALPRESS) – “We reject new colonialism and new imperialism, but we also reject vasalage and disfaction.” The French President, Emmanuel Macron, declared this in his annual speech to the ambassadors.
According to Macron, “the institutions of multilateralism are less and less effective” and the risk is to go towards a world dominated by great powers that have the temptation to “start the planet”.
The head of the Elysian then asked to return to “invest in the UN”, adding that “it would be absurd not to do so”. As far as Europe is concerned, Macron observed that Paris has worked “in the right direction”, that is towards greater strategic autonomy and “less dependence”, that it is from the United States or China.
