From CdM ok to technologist contracts, Bernini “Investiment towards a more modern and competitive system”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A free way from the Council of Ministers to the agreement that completes the national contract for the new professional profile of technologist indefinitely in universities, defining in detail rules and economic treatment. The measure gives full implementation to the figure of the indefinite technologist introduced by Decree-Law no. 36 of 2022, and defines the discipline of the employment relationship and economic treatment. This professional profile is an absolute novelty in the university and is a figure of connection between universities and research. Its tasks concern the support and coordination of scientific activities, the promotion of the technological transfer process, the design and management of technological infrastructure, and the protection of industrial property.

The contractual agreement provides for a flexible working time linked to the scientific objectives, the possibility of carrying out teaching and dissemination activities within a maximum annual limit of hours, a pay structure and a path of professional growth based on service agility and performance assessment. There is also a safeguard clause for staff already in service with similar functions.
