From Italy to Los Angeles, Lil Mile rewrites his dream to the Grammys

Lil Mile returns to talk about himself with a second Grammy Awards nomination, confirming an artistic path built on resilience, cultural contamination and a strong emotional connection with the public.

His music combines languages, genres and personal experiences, while his story tells the journey of a suspended artist – and at the same time perfectly rooted – between Italy and America. In this conversation, Lil Mile accompanies us behind the scenes of this new chapter, including gratitude, ambition and vision of the future.

From Verona shakespeariana, a city symbol of love, to the Grammys of Los Angeles with Love Cure: love is your fil rouge.

Yes, love has always been my center. Verona taught me the intensity of emotions, Los Angeles taught me how to transform them into vision. Love Cure, like all my other songs, was born from this: love as a force that makes you stand and pushes you beyond borders.

Love Cure: how is it born and what does it mean?

It’s the answer to chaos, an emotional medicine. Love Cure means choosing love even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it’s scary. It’s the cure.

Second Grammy nomination: What was the first emotion when you discovered it?

Gratitude. I thought about the path, not the finish line. It was like looking back a second, smiling, and then getting back to work.

What do the Grammys represent today in your artistic journey?

A recognition, not a point of arrival. I am confirming that my vision can speak to a global audience, at the top of the music world without falling apart. They remind me I’m walking in the right direction.

Your connection with Los Angeles is very strong. What role did this city have in your musical and personal growth?

Los Angeles teaches the discipline of the dream. It’s a ruthless city that doesn’t give you anything, but if you resist, it turns you. You learn to think big and work in silence.

You came here also with the passion for the NBA: are you still a fan?

Absolutely. I studied and played basketball in American colleges for four years. The NBA is culture, mentality, sacrifice. The Lakers are part of my imagination, even for what they represent in Los Angeles.

What did you learn from the American music scene? Who do you want to work with?

I learned the value of identity. In America they respect those who have a recognizable voice. I’d like to cooperate with Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Kanye West.

How do your Italian roots affect your sound?

In melody, romance, emotional drama. Italy teaches you to feel all the way. This remains, even when the sound is international.

Your route has not been linear: How much does resilience count today?

That’s it. Talent opens doors, resilience makes you stay inside. I learned how to turn no into fuel.

Your music creates a strong emotional bond with fans. Is it natural or built?

It is natural, but it must be respected and cultivated. I share truth, not characters. Being true today is what creates the connection with my fans.

What message do you want to send to young Italians who dream of an international career?

Don’t wait for permission. Study, travel, fail. And never deny where you come from: it is your superpower. Hard work pays off.

If I were to describe this moment of your life with three words?

Awareness. Vision. Hunger.

After the Grammys, what will be the next step of Lil Mile?

Build, don’t chase. I’m working with producers and artists winners of the Grammys to new music that raises the asticella, with an even more personal and international sound, and a live project that really tells who they are today.
