CARINI (ITALPRESS) – For years it has been a parking lot, today it is a multisports area for the physical activity of pupils. It is the transformation that took place at the Agliastrelli Primary School of the “Giovanni Falcone” State Institute of Carini, where students will finally be able to perform lessons of motor education and outdoor physical activity. At the inauguration of the new area participated the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, who, together with Valerio Vermiglio, already captain of the National Volleyball Team and today member of the team “Illumina” of Sport and Health, has “lived” with the pupils and teachers the emotion of a novelty waited for years. To transform the area of about 500 square meters following the development lines of “Sport Illumina”, from abandoned parking to place that takes life with a colorful and modular flooring and with a multisport equipment, was Sport and Health, within the project “Sport Illumina – Unconventional Spaces” promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth, through the Department for Sport, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Youth. The project, with a total investment of 2,2 million euros, is transforming courtyards, corridors, parking spaces and spaces in disuse of over 76 Italian schools until today without gym, in areas for motor, physical and sports activities for students. “Here at Carini this project Sport Illumina-Spazi unconventional entrusted to Sport and Health has allowed to transform 500 square meters of parking in a multifunctional system in which children and girls can have fun and training. The theme of psychomotricity is fundamental to make known the movement and put everyone in a position to be able to have the same opportunities, aspect that the Constitution recognizes in paragraph 7 of Article 33, that is the educational, social value and promotion of the psychophysical well-being of sports activity in all its forms” Abodi’s words.
