FS Logistix first in EU to get certification for Carbon Footprint for freight transport

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – FS Logistix, company of the FS Group specializing in transporting goods and logistics integrated, is the first in Europe to have obtained the ISO 14067 certification for the Carbon Footprint service on the entire logistics chain. This is a unique approach in Europe by methodological amplitude and rigor, which allows to estimate the emissions of CO2 equivalent per ton-kilometer on each single route and mode of transport, from rail transport to that by sea, passing through the transport on rubber, maneuver and handling of the goods in the terminals.

“Being the first in Europe to certify the carbon footprint on the entire logistics chain is not only a technical recognition, but a strong signal of our strategic vision,” said Sabrina De Filippis, Ad of FS Logistix. “We want to offer our customers objective, reliable and certified tools to evaluate emissions in a precise and responsible manner. This allows us to support the transition to low-emission logistics, promoting sustainable choices and creating shared value throughout the supply chain,” he added.

The certification, obtained by SGS ICS Italia, is an innovative and reliable tool for continuous measurement of emissions, fully integrated in the operational and strategic decisions of customers, in particular those subject to ESG reporting obligations. The results confirm the railway transport as the mode with less emissive impact, in line with the main scientific evidence. This European primacy strengthens the position of FS Logistix as a reliable and innovative partner in the transition to low-emission logistics, offering objective and certified data to support strategic choices and contribute to the definition of environmental best practices shared throughout the supply chain.
