PARIS (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) – The Paris-Milan Frecciarossa connection by Trenitalia France, a Trenitalia (Italian FS Group) company, will restart in April 2025. In June, the new Paris-Marseille domestic connection will start with the flagship train of Trenitalia’s fleet.The news was presented today in Paris by Trenitalia France CEO Marco Caposciutti and is part of the actions of the FS Italian Group’s Strategic Plan 2025-2029 with the aim of increasing its presence abroad, which already records three billion in sales and 12 thousand employees.”A development plan,” reads a note, “that marks a decisive turning point for the FS Group company, which has been operating for three years in the French market and thus accelerates its growth in France. Indeed, more than three million passengers have been transported from December 2021 to date. A success accompanied by high passenger satisfaction rates, with 98 percent saying they were satisfied with their trip and 97 percent ready to repeat the experience and recommend Trenitalia to their acquaintances. The Paris-Lyon link also continues to gain travelers, with a 40 percent increase between 2023 and 2024. The reopening of the Milan-Paris link, which has been interrupted since the end of August 2023 due to the landslide in the Maurienne Valley, is among the main actions of Trenitalia France’s growth strategy for the current year. “Four daily runs will be active, two departures from Paris at 7:30 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. and two departures from Milan at 6:25 a.m. and 3:53 p.m., for a total travel time of about 7 hours. The train will make the following stops between Paris and Milan: Lyon – Chambèry – Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne – Modane – Oulx – Turin. Tickets can be purchased from today on Trenitalia’s sales channels.The Paris-Marseille Frecciarossa connection marks a decisive new step in Trenitalia’s expansion in France. Starting June 15, 2025, four daily trips will be available. The 3-hour, 20-minute trip will connect the French capital, departing from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon, to Marseille’s Saint-Charles station. Intermediate stops will be Lyon Saint-Exupèry, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille Saint-Charles. “This daily frequency will strengthen sustainable mobility between northern and southern France, offering a fast and comfortable solution, whose attractiveness is growing, for people who travel for work, leisure and tourism,” concludes the FS Italiane group’s note.
