CORTINA (ITALPRESS) – The Olympic champions in charge will be Amos Mosaner and Stefania Constantini the first Italian athletes in competition at the Milan Olympic Games Cortina 2026. In 2022 there was the incredible Beijing company in the double mix, tomorrow the two blues, at 10.05, will challenge South Korea in the first race of the group. Today the two had a training in view of the debut at Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium: “It’s really a great emotion – Constantini said on the eve –, I remember in Beijing my first slip on the five circles, today I made it home, it was really very nice. We always compete to give the best, we are here as if we had not won anything”. At 19:05, however, there will be the second challenge against Canada. The focus is on the inaugural race, on 6 February then we will think about the opening ceremony, it will be a great emotion”. The blue will be one of the two flag holders, along with Federica Brignone, during the opening ceremony in Cortina.
At 14:40, the blues of ice hockey will come to the ground, which will face France in the first match of the B group, in the new Milano Santa Giulia Ice Hockey Arena. “The workouts since we arrived here in Milan have gone well – said the captain of the national Nadia M attivi –, I see the girls very concentrated and above all able to avoid distractions that inevitably exist in a unique context like this. The focus is all about hockey, we are a family and we only think about ourselves. To the rest and to the opponents we do not look, we just want to give the maximum to demonstrate the qualities of this group”. For the Women’s National, as well as the male (who will debut against Sweden at 21:10 on Wednesday 11 February), this is a historic return to the five-round appointment: the last appearance was in Turin, in 2006. In the evening, finally, from 7.30 pm there will be room also for the young snowboarder Ian Matteoli who, on the snow of Livigno Snow Park, will be engaged in the male qualification of the big air.
