TBILISI (GEORGIA) (ITALPRESS) – The celebrations of the Week of Italian cuisine in the world continued in Georgia with a special event, organized by the Italian Embassy in Tbilisi at “Republic”, one of the best restaurants in the Georgian capital.
According to a note, more than 150 guests, including representatives of the Georgian Government, the Diplomatic Corps, the entrepreneurial world and that of culture, have had a unique opportunity to taste a menu, proposed by the chef Ottavio Giulio Surico and inspired by the Apulian tradition that tells the land of Puglia through simple and genuine ingredients. Undisputed protagonist of the evening was the Italian taste in its many interpreters and facets.
“Even this evening is part of the important promotional event of the Apulia Region in Georgia, conceived and successfully realized by the Italian Embassy. To celebrate the eleventh edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, we brought in Georgia the cuisine of Puglia, a region rich in traditions and delicious products, which boasts an extraordinary variety of true and intense flavors, linked to land and the sea,” said Ambassador Massimiliano D’Antuono, “The Apulian cuisine is a balance between tradition and innovation.”.
The event was enriched by the most beautiful Italian songs performed by talented singer Natia Svanadze and guitarist Giorgi Tsintsadze.
