ROME (ITALPRESS) – “A stable political environment and prudent fiscal policy are bearing fruit by favoring growth prospects for Italy.” So said Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti at the 100th World Savings Day organized by Acri. “The markets and rating agencies are promoting government action,” he adds. “In the coming years, the EU will have to close the competitiveness gaps with respect to the world’s leading economies and address the various strategic challenges,” the minister stresses. “Substantial investments will be needed, which cannot be met only by public accounts given the existing budget constraints; it will also be necessary to mobilize private savings, which will assume the role of a fundamental resource for development.
