ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “In our country a large part of the savings is channelled into the banking system, which today is in the best conditions to support the economy as witnessed by the main budgetary indicators.” This is said by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Giancarlo Giorgetti, on the occasion of the celebration of the 101st World Day of Saving organized by Acre.
“The protection of savings is the central element of modern market economies, a solid system is the best precondition for its protection and its use for economic growth in the country – added Giorgetti – Savings is an indispensable element to ensure social, economic and lasting development. The savings represented a motor for the reconstruction of the country and more recently allowed to overcome the shocks from the financial crisis of 2009′′, concluded.
“The development of the capital market is one of the priorities of the government, pursued through a series of initiatives that develop in parallel and in tune with the European strategy for a ‘Union of Savings and Investments’. Italy is doing its part. The Capital Law has removed regulatory and operational constraints on market access, introduced measures that stimulate the channelling of financial investments towards the real economy and finally attributed a delegation to the Government to reform the financial order and the Civil Code,” he adds.
