Giovanni Dattoli new President of the Industrial Vehicles Section of UNRAE

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Giovanni Dattoli, CEO of Volvo Trucks Italy, was unanimously appointed President of UNRAE’s Industrial Vehicles Section, and then joined UNRAE’s Board of Directors for the three-year term of office 2025-28. It is known by the National Union of Foreign Car Representatives.

Giovanni Dattoli happens to Paolo A. Starace is the 8th President of the Industrial Vehicles Section, established in 1989. Management engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the Industrial Vehicles sector, Dattoli held positions of increasing responsibility within Volvo Group, until he was appointed Managing Director of Volvo Trucks Italia in 2018. For more than three years UNRAE has served as Chairman of the Board of Auditors.

In his speech of settlement, the new President, thanking the Companies associated with the UNRAE Industrial Vehicles Section for the mandate received, underlined his commitment to strengthen the role of the Section as the main interlocutor of the Institutions and the political world, clearly indicating the main directors of work for the coming years.

“I welcome this appointment with deep gratitude, a recognition given by colleagues who interpret it as a sign of trust and esteem towards me. Our industry is in a crucial transition phase, characterized by challenges that are both challenging and complex. I believe that UNRAE can and should play a key role in guiding this evolution, considering that support tools to successfully address change are not yet at the desired levels. For this reason, one of the primary objectives will be to continue and strengthen dialogue and constructive collaboration with the Government and with all the competent institutions. My aim is to work in synergy with the Associated Houses, in order to accompany our sector towards an increasingly sustainable future,” said Dattoli, commenting on his appointment.

On behalf of the entire Industrial Vehicles Section, Dattoli also thanked his predecessor Paolo A. Starace for his commitment and passion during the five years of his term.
